Feeding hungry neighbors isn’t a job for Marcel Banks. It’s his heritage.
As the owner of Frisco Fried, a small community-serving business in the Bayview area, Marcel is carrying on his family’s legacy of feeding his community. He’s the third generation in his family to do it, something he does with great pride and purpose. And with a large family, boasting six children and five grandchildren, Marcel’s culinary legacy will likely live on long after he is gone.
Marcel’s recipes, passed down from his grandfather, have become stuff of San Francisco food legend, especially his famous lemon pepper chicken. With a culinary flair dubbed as “S.F. Style Soul Food,” every item is “fried with pride” and made with love and perfected by generations of Banks family tradition.
From Lemon Pepper Chicken to Oxtails to Garlic Crab and more, Frisco Fried offers an authentic taste of the Deep South with a Way West kick. And whether you’re a San Fran native like Marcel or coming from out of town, you’ll find something to treat your tastebuds to, as confirmed by Yelp reviews, features in the San Francisco Chronicle and SF Gate, and 1,000 Places to Eat Before You Die.
When you’re looking for something to soothe your soul in San Francisco, Frisco Fried is the place to be.
